- The first filter (PP Sediment) is used to filter dirt, mud, sand like particles the water is carrying. It is typically 1, 5, and 10 microns (the size of smallest particle that allow water to flow through filter in micro meter) pp sediment cartridges according to expected water quality.
- Second filter (Carbon) is known for their ability to restore water’s fresh taste by removing chlorine and chloramines. While carbon can also filter out sediment, dirt particles can clog up the carbon and quickly exhaust the filter media. If carbon filters are forced to filter out large quantities of sediment, their filter life will be dramatically reduced.
